Portal 2 Portal 2 was released on Xbox 360 Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 PlayStation 3 consoles on the same day (19 April 2011) as PC version on Steam.

The game can be run on Xbox One hardware, and is rendered at 4K on Xbox One X and Xbox Series X.

Key Differences (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only)

  • Runs on the older version of Portal 2 engine branch Portal 2 engine branch.
  • The Puzzlemaker is not present, and Steam Workshop is not supported.
  • Render resolution at 1280x720 and 30 FPS locked framerate.
  • Sixense In Motion DLC (also known as MotionPack DLC in PC version)
  • PlayStation 3 MLAA anti-aliasing
  • PlayStation 3 PlayStation 3 version has Steam integration (Steamworks), achievements are synced with both PSN and Steam, and PS3 users were able to complete co-op levels with Steam friends. Support on the PS3 has ended in 2016, with the online service quietly ended in May 22, 2018.
