Talk:Steam rating
I don't think h stand for hours. Check the forums to verify this. (There are many threads that compares both stats and hours. For instance, the game-time from some games doesn't seem to count.) --Andreasen 12:20, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)
That r thing looks really strange and complicated. What have you got against "x-x.9"? --Andreasen 13:53, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)
- Because there is a 0.1 gap not covered between 3-3.9 and 4-4.9—ts2do 17:02, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)
- As far as I can see it's a one decimal system. Either it is 3.9 or 4, of which both states are covered. People will manage to figure out that 3.999999... still won't give you the rank of 4. --Andreasen 17:11, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)
- ...or perhaps you don't understand at all: That number is simply the rating expressed as a value instead of text: "Steam Rating: 10 - EAGLES SCREAM! Playing time: 201.3 hrs past 2 weeks" That value is not the number of hours. You should probably add another column for that stat. --Andreasen 17:19, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)
It's just a formalization...it's a good idea to keep it like this—ts2do 17:22, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)
- Fine, whatever. I can't express the opinion of more than one person. By the way, I'm uncertain as to whether the "COBRA KAI!" rank is capitalized of not, has an "h" in it or not, or even has an exclamation point. I've seen all kinds of formats of this rank in the forums, so if someone finds the rank somewhere on Steam, be sure to update it. --Andreasen 17:32, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)
- It's capitalized ;-). User:Snowolf enwiki email me thru enwiki 14:09, 19 Oct 2007 (PDT)
I've found the hours to rank conversion to be one rank point per 3.18 (or 3.2) hours—ts2do 17:45, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)
...wow this looks way to complicated at firsts glance why not simply use 0 - 1.9 hrs, and such, To simple ;D? --Frostbite 17:58, 19 Oct 2007 (PDT)
- Indeed.--Gear 19:18, 19 Oct 2007 (PDT)
"Teh Suck!" is deliberately misspelled, is it? That's a shame. I can't remove it from the maintenance page then.
