As far as I can see it's a one decimal system. Either it is 3.9 or 4, of which both states are covered. People will manage to figure out that 3.999999... still won't give you the rank of 4. --Andreasen 17:11, 23 Sep 2007 (PDT)

...or perhaps you don't understand at all: That number is simply the rating expressed as a value instead of text: "Steam Rating: 10 - EAGLES SCREAM! Fine, whatever. I can't express the opinion of more than one person. By the way, I'm uncertain as to whether the "COBRA KAI!" rank is capitalized of not, has an "h" in it or not, or even has an exclamation point. T belive your steam rating should be rated on the kill to death ratio of the player in question not time played because not every one Plays every day of the week i got rejected from a clan because my rating was "El Terrible! Play Time : 6.2 hrs past 2 weeks". when my kill death ratio was 3-1. and my head shot ratio was almost 1-1. i think a kill death ratio would be best in determining the rating of a player.--Teh spartan 15:46, 4 Mar 2008 (PST)

I don't think steam rating should be rated on the kill-to-death ratio. "Steam" rating implies it doesn't just apply to games whose main purpose is to keep a high kill-to-death ratio. You might be spending a lot of time on Steam even though you're not playing an FPS game. And even if you are playing a game like Team Fortress 2, some players play for the win, not keeping a high kill-to-death ratio, like standing in a doorway to slow down an uber'd player from coming in, or a scout getting an enemy demo to detonate his stickies so that the players following can rush in unharmed. 31 Oct 2008
