minor edit
Hi Sirhephaestus! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typographical error or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. --Nescius (talk) 11:53, 18 August 2025 (PDT)
- Are you referring to the Env projectedtexture edit? I only changed 'and' to 'an' but i now see the edit says i changed lots of stuff when i most certainly did not. Perhaps a bug? The changes it shows in my edit i do recall seeing another user make. In any case, i didn't intentionally make those changes. --Sirhephaestus (talk) 07:52, 21 August 2025 (PDT)
- Yes I noticed that one. But there are several others in your edit history that weren't just grammar fixes and were for example changing type of input parameter or removing a flag and some talk page minor edits. I am putting this info about minor edits a lot lately on user talk pages and it's not something serious but if those guidelines are not followed the whole point of marking minor edit is lost. --Nescius (talk) 12:29, 21 August 2025 (PDT)
- I see. I was not aware of the strict definition of minor edits, so thanks for letting me know, and i will exercise its use properly in the future.--Sirhephaestus (talk) 13:01, 21 August 2025 (PDT)
