If it's not too much trouble, could you possibly send me a copy of that SMD exporter for Blender? The website's down. Thanks a lot for publishing this info. I've been waiting a while for a way to make props in Blender. -mungo

Certainly, I've uploaded it to http://files.johnsto.co.uk/smd_export.py This is my version, which includes a couple of changes over the original. Most notably, it only exports the selected objects, and expects there to be an Empty object indicating where the model origin should be. Johnsto 13:45, 4 Jul 2005 (PDT)

A couple of questions about that script. What should the Empty object be, just a cube where the origin's its center?? and Do you know what it refers to to pull the name of the materials? ...could be the material, the texture, or whatever's in the UV window I guess. Thanks so much. -mungo
