Game additions to VDC

(using Template:Message)  First off, appreciate all the work you've been putting into VDC. Second, I just started editing and poking around. I've noticed quite a few pages for games that are available on Steam. What is the purpose for all of these?  --Ableitung (talk) 14:16, 23 Apr 2023 (UTC)

Marking for deletion

(using Template:Message)  Please don't remove all the page contents when you mark a page for deletion. I understand the page might not be pertinent, but those of us who want to help review items on Reasons for speedy deletion need to see the page as it stands. If everything is removed and the template says the page is useless (or something similar), I'm not going to waste my time looking at page history to try to see what the page used to be.  --Ableitung (talk) 6:23, 30 Apr 2023 (UTC)

Absolute position of articles

(using Template:Message)  Please try to avoid creating articles with an absolute position like Anomalous Materials (BMS). Instead, make such articles subpages of the project (See the examples below).

We need to sort the wiki content better so that it is easier for both editors and administrators to work with it. Also, it may be worth renaming Black Mesa (Source), since this name looks terrible in the links.

Examples:

• Black Mesa (Source)/Anomalous Materials
• Black Mesa: Source/Anomalous Materials
• Black Mesa: The Game/Anomalous Materials
• Black Mesa: Definitive Edition/Anomalous Materials

Moving pages

I noticed that when moving BSPZIP to BSPZIP/en, you copied all the text over to the new page, then replaced the content of the old page. It is preferable, when possible, to instead use the Move button that appears when you click the More arrow next to the search bar; that way the edit history prior to movement is retained.

(using Template:Message)  I can do which ever one I want, but it's doesn't matter for me anyway for now. Both method works just fine. Only new users might get confused when viewing history for first time and checking which templates or pages hosted the language subpage but they probably over time will figure that out.  --Kr0tchet (talk) 4:02, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
