戰慄時空（Half-Life）Xen的最終魔王。 在戰慄時空2的劇情中透露出Nihilanth其實是Combine的一個產物。從它的外觀上來判斷，是一個由電子網絡和基因組成的巨大異形控制器（Alien Controller），而它已經掌控弗地岡（Vortigaunt）數萬年了。很像當初布林（Breen）在高登（Gordon）摧毀17城（City 17）塔之前所控制的人類物種。
