Talk:Counter-Strike: Source Level Creation
This seems like it's meant for people new to CS editing, so I removed the list of extra entities, many of which don't even make any sense for using in CS. They could be put into a new page, but shouldn't be here. It would just confuse people. --IanL 01:58, 9 Aug 2005 (PDT)
I am having trouble with my first CS:S map. I have made everything but i am not shure how to set up the starting points and buyzones. If anyone can help with this it would be apreciated. If so then you can post here or you can email me at true_cha0sdesign@hotmail.com .... thanks.
- info_player_terrorist info_player_counterterrorist func_buyzone
- Unlike CS on Goldsource, CS:S is buyzone explicit—ts2do (Talk | ) 20:47, 3 Nov 2005 (PST)
You'll have to give more info before anyone can help you. What kind of trouble? Are you new to mapping? New to Source mapping? —Maven (talk) 13:31, 4 Nov 2005 (PST)
ya i am new to CS:S mapping and source mapping. I have designed a few maps but i havent tried to get them working. what i have done is i have put about 16 or so info_player_terrorist and counterterrorist points on my map and fired it up. It says that the spawnpoints are invalid and when i play it doesent use any of the info player entitys. This causes the teams to be full when there is no one playing.
they should be floating and not touching or in any surfaces...they can be 1 unit above the ground...see Leaks too—ts2do (Talk | ) 16:53, 4 Nov 2005 (PST)
Thanx lots now i have my map working but i cant find the func_buyzone in the entity dropdown list.
it's a solid entity...—ts2do (Talk | ) 22:52, 4 Nov 2005 (PST)
- Make a block, select it, and hit Ctrl-T (or right-click it (not in the 3D view) and select "Tie to Entity"). Then you can set it as the func_buyzone. —Maven (talk) 10:06, 5 Nov 2005 (PST)
