About Me
Synopsis
- 23 years old.
- Australian.
- Independent Developer/Designer/Composer/Modder/Gamer
Finer Detail
- Former Fencer (no not the Jousting type, digging holes in the ground, coming home with blisters everyday type Fencer)
- I have an IT Certificate II from the NSW Institute of TAFE - i could probably get a Cert IV but it's too far to travel.
- I Graduated Junior High School and left approx halfway through Grade 11.
- Since then i've had a few different Jobs, mainly in Retail or Labor but my goal is to work in the Games Industry.
- Got my first gaming console when i was 6 years old but had been using a computer at that time for at least 2 years
- (Started on Apple II in Kindergarten, and was the only kid interested in using them aswell since it was Apples demon spawn of DOS)
- Gaming Consoles i've owned in Chronological order;
NES (1993) > SNES (1995) > PS1/N64 (1997) > PS2 (2001) > PSP/GameCube (2005) > XBOX360 (2007) > Current

PC has always been a Home away from Home for me. Slowly over the years i've taught myself how to do just about everything computer related and along the way teaching others around me as much as possible, so that in the hope they don't have to go through what i've been through.
Skills & Experience
Well here goes, i'm going to try to list all the skills & XP i have with some form of sorting. I wont just include Computer Skills either so this will be largely varied.
Gaming
18 Years + experience
- If i tried to list all the games i've played, i would be here forever so i will TRY to name a Top 5 but there are few things to bare in mind because such a list is like deciding what Food to eat, everyone has a personal choice and these would be what i consider to be memorable games regardless of Popularity or Quality.
For the Top 5, See User:Jenkins08#Gaming_Continued

Source Mapping
12 months+ Experience

Source Modding
12 months+ Experience
- Also see below
Source Modeling
3 Months experience
- I'm still learning the basics on this one.
- I can create/edit meshes in 3DS Max and XSI, preferably XSI. Because of my animation experience with images XSI is fairly easy to understand but there are certain things such as my low screen resolution that prevent me from using the program to its fullest ability (Some controls are cut off because i can see it was designed for Higher screened resolutions
- QC Files are easy.
- Skeletons and Bones are pretty easy too, just need to get more confident at creating the main model.
- I'm really interested in Model Animations especially Cinematic Animations. I need better Hardware to start creating those me thinks.
Mapping Other
Varied Experience
- ~5 Years World Builder Experience.
- Few months Experience on TGEA SDK
- Picked up Bits and peices in CryEngine (Crysis Editor) and Dunia (FarCry 2 editor)

ToxisResiduum
Currently i am developing a mod for Orangebox with a close friend of mine.
- The mod is closed source and a beta is not expected to be released for quite some time,
- However, i encourage you to keep track of the mod over at ModDB!
Music
- I have an upcoming album that i will be releasing for digital download for FREE!
- It's a 2CD (28 track) album with over 10 original peices by myself.
- You can hear a few tracks over on Acidplanet.com (I joined before their site went all fruity)
Art
Art is always on my mind and some can be seen over at DeviantART.com Map-wise i don't have much released to the public but you can download some from my Garrysmod.org Profile
Life Changing Links
- Here are some links that have changed my life in one way or another, thought they would be worth sharing here if anywhere...
- Incredible Documentary on Half-Life 2. As i don't live in USA i don't know this is true or not, but i would describe that Doco as "HL2 - Behind the Blow"
- That story changed the way i view Valve forever, and for the Good too :)
- Great article and very informative on the Fourth Dimension
- To do with Copyright etc. READ IT!
VDC Contributions
More to come! :D
Smaller VDC Contributions
- Talk:Compiling_under_VS2008#client.5Cc_vguiscreen.cpp_Alternate_Fix - I still use this fix with no dramas
- Help_Desk#Map_Compiling_Issues - Some compile related info
- ICE_Key_Generator - Added alternate Unicode characters, tested and not working :(
- Talk:Bump_Map - Fixed a few redirects that were leading nowhere
Gaming
Gaming Continued
- Half-Life Series (PC) -
- Would have to #1 Due to its impact on my Gaming life has and continues to be a whole new phenomenon
- GoldenEye 64 (N64) -
- #2 because every aspect of this game was perfectly executed and will always be a "GG" for me :)
- Command & Conquer Series (PC) -
- #3 Most of the time i only get a CNC game for Frank Klepacki's Music.
If the game is good, That's a bonus! (Unlike RA3 which is a pile of shit IMHO)
- Syphon Filter Series (PSP) -
- #4 Logan's Shadow is better, but Dark Mirror got me hooked.
Good times with mates sitting around AdHoc gaming. It would be this series to reignite my love for First Person Shooters aswell. As much as i don't like to admit it, especially the PSP Versions of this Series kicked some serious ass... Still haven't seen anything like it in the Source Engine.
- Zombies! (SNES) -
- #5 The amount of hours i put into playing this game is impalpable
I don't think i ever finished it either the levels seemed to be endless as was the fun..
- Even though i'm not going to add it to the "Top 5", Tetris will never grow old for me and i will challenge you to a tetris dual if there is ever a chance, and win too ;)
