The button is a nearly vital gameplay element in a Portal puzzle.

The puzzle maker includes four different buttons.

Pedestral button

This is the button triggered by pressing E on your keyboard.

Button

The standard, weighted button. Activated by any sort of cube or the player.

Cube Button

Cannot be activated by the player nor by spheres.

Sphere Button

Only activated by Edgeless Safety Cubes, also known as spheres.
