$casttextureshadows  is a   QC command  available in all 
 Source games since 
 Source 2007.
Only applicable for static props. Indicates to VRAD that the model should cast texture-based shadows from the alpha channel of the $basetexture of materials with $alphatest or $translucent, or (only in 
) the %alphatexture of any material.
