I would suggest you change the image links to a thumbnail view of the picture. Not only because it looks better, but then the image shows a link to your page, and won't be marked off as spam/linkless picture. --Frostbite 12:52, 11 Dec 2007 (PST)

Scale

How did you reach your decison to scale everything? if you've based somethnig off a measurment on the picture scale it up by 1.3 otherwise it will look too small to the player. --Angry Beaver 10:06, 10 Jan 2008 (PST)

The decison came after a couple weeks of trial and error. Since this was the original design of the map, I was able to use this shot to begin the scaling. From what I've read, the average Russian height is around 5'5, so I did a little math comparing that to the height of the blue building, putting it at around 14 feet, and I'm applying that system where I can to other buildings in reference photos. Scaling buildings up wasn't the problem even back before I started using the overview texture, it was the accuracy of the horizontal scaling and location that I kept having conflicts with.

The only really problem now, isn't if it will be too small, but too big. The overview shot I posted was cropped down with cordon to view ingame, the overview texture itself covers the entire grid allowed by Hammer(minus maybe 50 feet). Now I'm not planning on using that much for the map, but finding out where I can end the visual point of the map and begin the skybox might be tricky.--Karrus 15:13, 10 Jan 2008 (PST)

Enclosing an area is always a challenge, well it looking good. Most people measure things and before its to late they realize real world measurements don't fit so I was giving you a heads up to make sure ou didn't make the same mistake and you ahvent. Its always bets wto go with what looks right. --Angry Beaver 09:42, 11 Jan 2008 (PST)

Happy B-day

rawr, Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!

That's Pretty Much it. Thought since I saw it was your birthday on the RC page, Id Cangratulate You! --JeffMOD 12:40, 25 May 2008 (PDT)

  • I umm, wow, uhh, I'm sorry to tell you this, but, it wasn't my birthday. My birthday is on July 6th, kind of close though. But I'm just curious as to how you thought it would be in May. I did find a Hi5 page with the Karrus name that showed a birthday for May 14th, but that's not my page. I'm flattered by this, but I don't want to live a lie by not saying anything.--Karrus 17:27, 31 May 2008 (PDT)

Tagging spammers

I don't think it's necessary to tag older spammers, I would just look for the most recent block log in the recent changes and tag spammers that are newer.

However if you want to tag them all, you can look through the block log for names in red (red = untagged). --pizzahut 04:57, 20 Jun 2008 (PDT)
