Ah nice to see some literate people bringing a detailed mind to the mod scene :) Usually We see a lot of "OMGIWANTLIKESOURCETODOTHATCOOLSLOWTHINGLIKEITDIDATTHATEXPLOSIONATTHEENDOFHL2BUTIWANTITTOBELIKETHEMATRIX!DOYUMAKEMODELLERSCAUSEINEEDAMODDELEREANDCODEROFAMAPPERANDATEXTUREARTSITTOOIFYOUKNWOANYTHISLLBESOCOOL!" with 2 weeks later "OMGWTHSOURCESUCKSITWONTDOANYTHINGIWANTANDITSALLTOCOMPLICATEDIHATETHISGAME" It'd be amussing if it wasn't so frequent :). um...thank you beaver. about the logo though. it's supposed to be vague and strange. or at least, that's the answer we want you to think...no, i'm just kidding. in reality, it's just a freaky decal of the g-man that i made, with the slogan "big brother is watching you." i just ran through an interlace filter and a motion blur filter in core image fun house. it's all i could think of right now; i'm very pressed for time nowadays. but i'm progressing, slowly but surely. me and goldenepidemic are making progress. but, if there's a stage before alpha, that's the one we're on. Mod Subject
the development team for 1984 (me and goldenepidemic) is debating about what the mod's subject should be. i think that it should be following winston smith's footsteps through the novel (e.g. copying the novel word for word). but goldenepidemic thinks that we should follow the war between eurasia and oceania. what do you guys think?
