In the Source SDK 2007 engine, if a player is damaged by an NPC or kills an NPC, a random object may appear at the center of the map. (i. e. 0,0 or x=0 y=0) The object appears as an orb, probably looking like as if it's one of the editor textures for the classes in Hammer.
The game starts to freeze in framerate, which is determined by how close you are to the object (or if you zoom at it).
