Can anyone confirm that portals must be over a single brush. I tried it and I was able to open an autoportal over a brush seam. [[User:DrMeepster|DrMeepster]] ([[User talk:DrMeepster|talk]]) 01:22, 30 July 2020 (UTC) |

I cannot move or rotate this entity in either the Portal 2 Authoring Tools or the Alien Swarm SDK with custom FGD. It moves in hammer but when I compile the map it is always in the same place. Help please! --YM_Industries
- It appears that the entity must be 1-8 units from the surface which the portal is to be placed on, as well as a minimum of 57 units away from any adjacent surfaces in relation to the portal's top and bottom sides. I assume that the minimum distance adjacent surfaces can be from the portal's sides is about or slightly less than 32 units. Whenever the portal attempts to create itself in a bad location, the map origin is chosen instead (regardless whether the origin is in-air or in the void).--TheLazyPanda 11:31, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
