It isn't precisely known what this entity is supposed to do (or whether it is functional in that respect) due to the fact that it is never used in any of Portal 2's official .bsp or .vmf files and is not properly documented in the Portal 2 [[FGD]]. At a cursory glance, it appears to have been intended as a pseudo look-trigger that forces an [[npc_personality_core]] to say a certain line of dialogue.
