Hey, I'm new here, but a long time visitor. Just a heads up, I'm working on a map that involves a platform, and WOW. It has a lot of special effects. | |||
To start: yes, there is a laser that runs the length, I think the sprite is "sprites/trackbeam." Also, there is what seem to be a func_illusionary running the length of the beam as well, possibly 8 units thick, and, I think, painted with "effects/light_rail_beam1." There is something new, called an env_lightrail_endpoint to be included, and lastly, something I can't figure out. There is a glowy sprite thing right under the platform itself, that travels along the beam. Can't figure out what sprite it is though. Cheers. |

So, this is my second tutorial, do you like it? Well, somebody have to fix grammar ;) BTW: In Portal, there's blue line under platform, do you know how to make it? ~ Rullaf 10:05, 04 Feb 2008
