:I agree. The title itself is not very specific at all, i.e. no one would read the title ''World Models'' and think "oh, this must be a tutorial on how to create a world model from a view model". Suggestion for a new title: ''Creating World Models from View Models'', for example. As a side-note, [[:Category:World Models]] also exists, and (apart from the fact that one is a category and another is an article) despite them having similar names, they are very different. The category has a name that is appropriate to its contents, the article doesn't. --[[User:Etset|Etset]] 15:47, 31 Jan 2008 (PST)

Shouldn't this be a category?

A good way to organise this might be to have a set of primary categories:

  • office
  • industrial
  • laboratory
  • building
  • plants
  • rocks
  • pipes
  • debris
  • skybox, urban
  • skybox, industrial
  • skybox, nature
  • ... and so on

Rather than the rather arbitrary "c17" etc. groupings as they currently appear in the models dir. The models from various sources (even 3rd party ones?) could appear in a more useful category.

Categorized Prop Gallery archives already exist, directory names are not in English, though. HL2 props are done by Edomae, CSS by hermione, both members of C-SEC, (the only) HL2 MOD community in Japan. Edomae did make English version and put it on Filefarm or somewhere, but it seems it's gone.

If you don't mind seeing Japanese(all image file names are in English showing prop names, so I assume it's OK for English speakers) download them from C-SEC: ダウンロード?る is the dl link.

With the latest SDK update you can search for models by name and see them directly in 3D. In my opinion, such a gallery doesn't make sense (anymore). -Vaarscha

Re-naming
