Black Mesa (Source)/2012 version downloads

Here, you can download the 2012 version of Black Mesa (mod), also known as Mod version. If you are looking for the Steam version (Definitive Edition/Xen), originally released in 2015 (and leaving early access in 2020), see Steam Store page instead.

Files

• blackmesa.7z - Compressed archive file.
  • ModDB only: You will need to download both Part 1 and Part 2 archive, and naming it blackmesa.001.7z and blackmesa.002.7z. Then open blackmesa.001.7z, and extract the archive. Both archives will be automatically extracted.
• blackmesa-setup.exe - Automatic installer to extract the .7z archive.
  • Optional. Alternatively you can simply extract both archives.
• Total Size: 3.8GB

Important:After installing Black Mesa (2012), it's highly recommended to rename the blackmesa folder to bms in sourcemods directory. This will fix the chapter title issue.

Prerequisites

• Source SDK Base 2007 (Install)
• Fixing VPK mounting for older Source SDK Bases - highly recommended, fixes Half-Life 2: Episode Two assets mounting issues and making sure Black Mesa function properly.
