The Trenches takes place during the later half of 
World War I (1916 - 1918), placing you in the shoes of a soldier from the British Commonwealth or the German Empire. The race to the sea ended without any victor and both the Allies and Central powers have dug into their positions, resulting in a bitter trench warfare.
