I've just tried connecting a source tv server to a cs:s server (running on a different host), and am seeing the message: "The server requires that you be running Steam." I don't suppose that this will change in the future? We do not run steam on any of our game servers, since we get updates on a central master server and then distribute the package to all the hosts (as opposed to having all our servers pulling down the same content). --—'''[[User:Fuzzy|Fuzzy]]''' ([[User talk:Fuzzy|talk]][mailto:fuzzy@dystopia-game.com ][http://dystopia-game.com ]) 22:18, 28 May 2006 (PDT)

cbble-shadows?

i read in the steampowered-forum that there are shadows on cbble again!?
there are bugs/features about the "darker" smoke and dustsmoke in dust1&2...
WHY are both things result of beta engine BUT not mentioned in the changelist... what for is this changelist if it isn't complete? SIzzLeopard

Engine updates, but no notes

There have been at least two engine updates, fetureing HL2DM, that have not been documented. Has any one any idea what they are?

HL2DM isn't updating, it's the Source engine beneath it. The changes are listed in this article. --TomEdwards 12:33, 25 May 2006 (PDT)

source tv server needs steam?

I've just tried connecting a source tv server to a cs:s server (running on a different host), and am seeing the message: "The server requires that you be running Steam." I don't suppose that this will change in the future? We do not run steam on any of our game servers, since we get updates on a central master server and then distribute the package to all the hosts (as opposed to having all our servers pulling down the same content). --—Fuzzy (talk ) 22:18, 28 May 2006 (PDT)
