From such languages, it can make for example {{Code|en-GB}} ({{Code|preset=2|{{#language:en-GB}}}}) or {{Code|en-CA}} ({{Code|preset=2|{{#language:en-CA}}}}), but there is no {{Code|en-au}} (or {{Code|en-AU}}) in it, so it will not give out its name, but only give out what was entered: {{Code|preset=2|{{#language:en-AU}}}}. In order to implement this name, you will have to improve the template (complicating it, thereby), or ask the administration to modify the {{Code|preset=1|<nowiki>{{#language:}}</nowiki>}} function and add this code with the name to it, if possible. --[[Max34]] ([[User talk:Max34|talk]]) 11:02, 7 Jun 2023

I think the flags can be pretty hard to see with no contrast against the background, so I think they look better without the border. I could go either way, but it's kind of tedious to add a border to each of them. --[[Pee]] ([[User talk:Pee|talk]]) 17:42, 4 May 2024

I see what you mean now. I updated the french flag to use the official standard, and it's very hard to see the blue on the dark background without any border. --[[Pee]] ([[User talk:Pee|talk]]) 18:14, 4 May 2024

Relating to updating the flags, should the resolution be changed? 16 by 11 is a very annoying resolution to work with. Australian Flag

The Australian flag should probably be changed from au to en-au, and it should be given the tooltip Australian English (en-au) as it is somewhat language specific. --Mailmanmicky (talk) 10:43, 7 Jun 2023

1|{{#language:<lang code>}}}} to display the name of the language. From such languages, it can make for example en-GB (British English) or en-CA (Canadian English), but there is no en-au (or en-AU) in it, so it will not give out its name, but only give out what was entered: en-AU. In order to implement this name, you will have to improve the template (complicating it, thereby), or ask the administration to modify the {{#language:}} function and add this code with the name to it, if possible. --Max34 (talk) 11:02, 7 Jun 2023

Border around flags

It appears most flags currently have a 1 pixel border around them that's slightly darker than the rest of the image (example: Flag-en.png). In updating some of these flags to be clearer in lower resolutions, I'm wondering if it makes sense to remove this outline from them. --Pee (talk) 16:32, 4 May 2024

I feel like it makes them look nicer, although they're barely visible since the flags are usually so small. --Wisdurm (talk) 17:04, 4 May 2024

I see what you mean now. I updated the french flag to use the official standard, and it's very hard to see the blue on the dark background without any border. --Pee (talk) 18:14, 4 May 2024
