minor edit misuse
I assume you set minor edit as default in preferences but I recommend turning that off. From this article w:Help:Minor_edit "A check to the minor edit box signifies that only superficial differences exist between the current and previous versions. Examples include typographical corrections, corrections of minor formatting errors, and reversion of obvious vandalism. A minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. An edit of this kind is marked in its page's revision history with a lowercase, bolded "m" character (m)." --Nescius (talk) 09:04, 25 August 2024 (PDT)
I don't have it as the default. I don't see which of my recent edits would make you believe otherwise. One was a very minor grammar change, and the other was removing a text notice which has been out of date for months. Wisdurm (talk) 12:57, 27 August 2024 (PDT)
- I was scrolling through your contributions and most of the have minor edit mark so I assumed you have the setting on. Either way I saw few that would not be considered minor so I decided to message here. Messaged more people about this because "hide minor edits" in recent changes is practically useless if minor edits are misused. In short if it's adding any piece of information even if by one word or just translating the title it's not a minor edit anymore --Nescius (talk) 13:04, 27 August 2024 (PDT)
