tf_weapon_katana is the Demoman's melee weapon known as the Half-Zatoichi. The weapon has similar stats to the bottle. When you pull out the Half-Zatoichi, you cannot switch weapons until you get a kill. On kill, all of your health is restored and you can switch weapons again.
