whenever i make a teleporter, the teleporter isnt there. Like, the brush-enity doesnt exist, you cant see it. and when i walk to where it should be, nothing happenens, ive only been able to make a teleporter that works once, but when i did, it didnt appear in the map.--Fire Tock 09:38, 18 Oct 2008 (PDT)
:In my opinion, these entities are easier to work with and conceptualize than point_teleport. A trigger box to enter, a spawn point to come out of that is placed with player dimensions in the map editor. To new mappers, this may be easier. When we abstract too far, we lose practical value. Again, opinion. --Ninjaofsauce (talk) 08:09, 13 December 2022 (PST)

Moved from Rustiznotch's private space into the public space, for the good of the wiki.--Daeval 01:48, 4 Jan 2008 (PST)

I disagree with Team Fortressizing this one. This one should be an abstract or general mapping topic. --Baliame (talk) 08:37, 4 Jan 2008 (PST)

Updating guide from obsolete/deprecated entities

Entities like trigger_teleport and info_teleport_destination have become obsolete with newer branches of Source. Perhaps this guide could be edited or rewritten to teach readers the equivalent, but using newer entities like point_teleport? --Stract (talk) 18:00, 11 July 2018 (UTC)

In my opinion, these entities are easier to work with and conceptualize than point_teleport. A trigger box to enter, a spawn point to come out of that is placed with player dimensions in the map editor. To new mappers, this may be easier. When we abstract too far, we lose practical value. Again, opinion. --Ninjaofsauce (talk) 08:09, 13 December 2022 (PST)
