Has anyone here messed with proper wiki bots, or know of a good reference? —Maven (talk) 18:20, 8 Oct 2005 (PDT)

wanna post a compiled?—ts2do (talk) 18:26, 8 Oct 2005 (PDT)

Not especially... Maybe someone else will kindly do so? —Maven (talk) 18:36, 8 Oct 2005 (PDT)
Hahaha... Maybe I might in a day or two ;) —Pon (talk) 20:32, 8 Oct 2005 (PDT)

If you prefer, you can (legally) download Visual C# Express, Beta 2 for free. —Maven (talk) 18:38, 8 Oct 2005 (PDT)

Eep, I can't compile it :( —Pon (talk) 01:29, 11 Oct 2005 (PDT)

oh noes!!!!11one

I've noticed a lot of this with the bot: This point-based entity is available in: all Source games

In code it is represented by class ???, defined in ???. —Pon (talk) 04:41, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)

Pon, how much Espresso did you have?--wisemx 05:31, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)
Lol, how did you tell?? Heaps btw:P—Pon (talk) 05:34, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)
HeHeHe, my wife is Brasilian, we have heaps of Espresso, Cafezino, each day.--wisemx 06:37, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)

I love espresso! I just got a machine to make it with, I do a doubleshot every morning now, lol --Spektre1 08:12, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)

<blink> Not to interupt... <grin> I fill in the availability stuff by hand. I can do the "This x-based class..." thing easily (it's just based on which FGD I'm pulling data from) but the "In code..." stuff requires that I look up stuff in the SDK code. Once I figure out how to do a real wiki bot, I intend to extract a list of all LINK_ENTITY_TO_CLASS lines from the SDK and have the bot fill in that information on pages with the "???" junk. After that, perhaps something to check the entity articles against the code. It's all part of my master plan to create a series of cheap, throw-away bots to automate the tedious tasks. (Hmm... the model gallery comes to mind...) —Maven (talk) 10:34, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)
Did I answer your question, Pon? —Maven (talk) 11:38, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)

Please, for the love of god, if you fixed up the model gallery, that'd be completely awesome. --Spektre1 11:04, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)

I would be thrilled to have that working (currently I have to search this page.. grumble grumble). Does anyone know of an automatable way to take the pictures, though? Even a predictable keyboard sequence would be fine. —Maven (talk) 11:25, 19 Oct 2005 (PDT)
