When "TALKing"

Whenever you would like to leave me a message, make sure it is placed in the proper category below. If it is something very specific, pop it in here with General. If it's something about Black Mesa, or one of the categories or pages I have founded/helped edit, make a specific category for it and then make your post there. All of my replies are in Italics, so please do not post messages to me in Italics. Leave your username and a way for me to get in touch with you to do any follow ups. This can be as simple as a link to your user profile, which you do easily by clicking the second button, from the right, in your Editing Bar when you edit the page. It will add a --~~~~ to the end of your message and when you save it, it will be compiled into your userprofile and the time/date.

I guess you're new to wiki markup. The user only needs to push one single button to write a link to his username with a datestamp. It's the "Your signature with datestamp" button in the toolbar. It writes --~~~~ which is then translated into something like this: --Andreasen 20:59, 9 Feb 2006 (PST)
Thanks Andreasen, I've learned something new again!

General

Did you forget to add the code to the func_extinguishercharger? --Andreasen 13:10, 13 Feb 2006 (PST)

I haven't done enough research to complete this page yet. I found it on the Wiki and simply added it to that page for now. I'm trying to find out from programmers of the SourceSDK what would be needed to implement it. Thanks for reminding me though.

Black Mesa (Source)

I love your work on BMS and would like to offer my mapping help... Also...for the human grunt, will you include all submodels and skins for it?

Yes, we will be including submodels to make grunts appear unique. We are looking into submodeling and skinning, but if interested stop by onto the IRC channel: irc.gamesurge.net and #bms

what really needs to be stressed in this recreation of hl1 are the details...I can't wait to see what you(all?)'ll pull off—ts2do (Talk | @) 14:23, 20 Nov 2005 (PST)

Yeah, we're really going individually from area to area in development. We're taking our time with this to make sure that everything flows well and connects together. We don't want a modification where we can tell which mappers started and which ended. We really want a continuity between everything. The details are very big.
I just want to say good job so far, thanks for recreating HL in such an awsome way, and most of all, good luck! --JeffMOD 12:23, 13 Dec 2008 (PST)

Compile Error Category

I wouldn't call Black Models or Brush Entities Are Black compile errors...—ts2do 19:10, 7 Feb 2006 (PST)

Edited the definitions of the Compile Errors Category so it includes both errors produced during compiling and errors that are an outcome or result of compiling errors.

Wiki code

Hey, just thought to let you know that to link to categories inside the wiki just use this: :Category:Categoryname or Alternate text -- it's a lot easier, just put the colon in front. To link to something inside the wiki, just do Article Name or Alternate text. Help:Editing is a good reference. Also, I'd recommend against posting every page you catagorize or something, because the list could fill your userpage if you kept it up. People can see your 'achievements' by going to 'User Contributions' on the left. I would say putting down articles you started or something is fine, though. --AndrewNeo 18:06, 8 Feb 2006 (PST)

Thanks Neo. I've edited a fair amount of smaller pages, but I generally sum them up in the categories they pertain in. I added the Categorization to see how it looked, but as you said: it adds up quickly. Thanks for your help!

Another wiki tip - Everything else (including categories) has to go below redirects, otherwise they don't work. Just so you know. --AndrewNeo 17:50, 9 Feb 2006 (PST)

Another wiki tip - Wiki strips everything after the redirect syntax, so disregard the previous line—ts2do 19:25, 9 Feb 2006 (PST)
Exactly what I was thinking ts2do. I had originally placed the Category tagline below the redirect, but it would not take it. I placed it above and it stuck, so I took the redirect as being the last possible line in any page.
