About me

Personal

I consider myself to know English well, and i don't use machine translators when it comes to translating/reading/writing russian to English or vice-versa. Only rarely i peek at the vocabulary or translate certain word/phrase to make sure i didn't mistranslate it.

I can be sensitive, so if you won't be rude, i won't be rude either.

Related to Source Engine

I make maps with Hammer (but not in GoldSRC), and make games with Godot Engine. I prefer English. You might know me as someone who annoys with begging to open-source the Source Engine.

If you'd ask me what Source Engine entity i favorite, then it'd be env_projectedtexture.

For users who know me from Source Engine Discord server: i very rarely check Discord nowadays, so don't expect my answer there.

Maps

What am i working on?

  • An updated version of gm_stairs.
  • SourceDEFUN: i shall not reveal more details here.

Future plans

Cancelled/Paused

Maps

  • Lights baking test: i would construct a map, then do a light baking in Blender, and then compile the map. Cancelled due to complexity of importing/exporting the map, even without the textures and entities.
  • gm_livecity: a city full of citizens walking around. At the latest edit only 1 citizen was in the map.
  • gm_city or something like that: pretty much speaks for itself.
  • gm_nowhere_hl2: a gm_nowhere-dev map, retextured to feel like a Half-Life 2 campaign map, and modified to be a campaign map. Never even started working on it.

Mods

  • Train fight (exact name is forgotten or was yet to be named): a short Half-Life 2 mod, where you complete objectives while you were on a moving train and then end it with a fight against The Combine trying to destroy the train. The map i was planning to base it on is forgotten, but if you'll find my comment in Steam Garry's Mod Workshop asking for a permission to use/edit it, then that's the one.
  • Half-Life: Secton Remaster: adds more detail to Half-Life maps, puts some maps to one, uses Half-Life: Source Fixed as a base.
  • Half-Life 2: Alone: it's just you. you alone... or not? Spoiler alert: the G-Man is also there, watching... waiting for a moment to speak... Cancelled long before the Half-Life 2: Alone mod by WadDelz was in development.
  • Half-Life 2 Lucky: umm... i can't remember exactly what this mod was about. Perhaps it would've been Half-Life 2 if the teleporter did not break?

The map on the background/cover is gm_nowhere_industrial. It's a variation of my old and poorly made map, gm_nowhere-dev.
