- But the question is, cna i makw teh HL1 masp with teh hamere? --Alph Tech STUART 14:31, 17 Dec 2005 (PST)
This is from the old Worldcraft/VHE help files that were once bundled with the software. It was submitted as part of a Valve Editing Resource Center competition, and was one of the winners. It was also submitted *before* Worldcraft changed its name to Hammer, which changes the meaning of the comic somewhat. It's as much a part of Half-Life community history as anything, I guess.--Graham 09:12, 1 Mar 2006 (PST)
- That's nice, but is it really necessary to still have it on display here? And if yes, then I suggest that it be merged into a Hammer history article of some kind. If not, then the story should be included in TFA. Otherwise its informational value is nil. Jupix 09:51, 1 Mar 2006 (PST)
- I'm all for the creation of pages related to the history of Worldcraft, or of the community in general, but no one else has ever seem interseted. Attempts to diversify the content here beyond the merely technical, and into the cultural side of the games - or even into the fictional canon - have pretty much failed. Mainly because one or two people, without discussion, removed said content. It doesn't seem wanted, even if I suspect it'd be helpful, necessary or interesting.--Graham 10:54, 1 Mar 2006 (PST)
- Wikipedia has all the fiction one could ever hope for and still a need for more. VDC should stay as a factbook IMO. I've got nothing against a history article though, just wanting to get rid of redundant (and uncategorized) pages. Jupix 11:45, 1 Mar 2006 (PST)
- It should stay. It is a critical step in the history and evolution of the tools used for editing. This is not redundent, nor is it unnecessary.--DeleteMe 12:09, 31 Mar 2006 (PST)
- Fine, I included the above story into the page to give it at least some informational value Jupix 01:55, 1 Apr 2006 (PST)
