is this the same sort of thing that can be used in portal?

burning_torch

It was, I believe, first used in Degroot Keep but available for some time before that. Naturally I plan to add this to the article, but since it's so clearly just plain better than the other methods here, I'm considering just removing the Egypt technique or at the very least putting up a big disclaimer that it's no longer recommended and only included for the sake of those wondering how Heyo did it.

Also, how does anyone feel about me adding a paragraph about the larger barrel fire from the Swamp Pack? They haven't incorporated it into the game files yet (unlike the textures and models), but it is available for download and produces a better large fire. I wasn't aware of the burning_torch entity (I haven't looked at this in a long while) but by all means add some stuff in about it. The old fire methods could be left for reference purposes I suppose. --X6herbius 11:00, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
