Talk:Hammer Face Edit Dialog
Does anyone know how i would go about putting two different textures on one face such as putting a certain type of brick near the bottom of the wall then a different type for the remainder? Or do i just have to split the object in parts? Fiercefighter 07:56, 24 Nov 2005 (PST)
- You need to split the brush to apply multiple materials to one surface area, an overlay can be used to mask one section of a face however underneath will be the applied material. --wisemx 09:05, 24 Nov 2005 (PST)
Anyone know how to align the texture along the edge of the brush w/o using a rotation value? I've decompiled some Valve maps (e.g. lumberyard) and found the textures down a staircase to be properly aligned (the Face and World alignment checkboxes were unchecked).
- I figured it out. If the brush is skewed (as in the case of supports or railing on a staircase), select the face on the bottom or top of the brush and alt-right click on the sides to have the alignment of the sides match the slope of the brush. --Molaughlen 09:28, 27 Sep 2008 (PDT)
Texture scale rounding
Does anyone know how to get rid of the texture scale rounding to 2 decimal places? It gets pretty annoying when you're dealing with 1024*1024 textures (eg. in TF2).
