I'm not very experience with goldsrc and I want to learn more about it, but is there a way to convert source textures to goldsrc? --Mandrew (talk) 20:17, 11 August 2019 (UTC)

There's no such thing as a Source texture, cuz textures are not engine-specific. If you mean to convert Source materials to GoldSource, it's simple:
  1. Export the VTFs with VTFEdit to get the images.
  2. Pack the images with Wally to get a WAD file.
  3. Mount it with Hammer. Done.
You don't need to convert normal maps or specular maps cuz GoldSource doesn't support them. FloraC (talk) 06:01, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
So that means I can put vtf textures files in a wad? EDIT: No, you're supposed to use BMP files and then put them in a wad. --Mandrew (talk) 20:50, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
