Suggestion
Put the troubleshooting / common questions page way higher — they're not noticeable enough as it is, I think. --MaxOfS2D (talk) 19:17, 19 Jul 2012
I think that was intentionally ordered in respect to the flow of general development. Getting Started, The UI, Working with cameras, Populating your scene, Manipulating objects, Final Picture, Troubleshooting. --Mattshu (talk) 19:06, 29 Sep 2012
Organization and Correctness
Remember to use images to help validate your information. Screenshots of a process or dialog are very appreciated by users who might feel confused when trying to follow what they are reading. Another important aspect of editing the pages in this category, as well as any other page on the wiki, is to keep your grammar straight and word your sentences to be as comprehensive as possible. Basically, you should make a mental checklist for yourself that's based on the informative suggestions of this page. Before you decide you're finished editing the text content of a page, go over what you changed and make sure it passes the requirements of your mental checklist in terms of grammar and language usage. --Rayss (talk) 15:40, 16 Aug 2012
Translating SFM Pages
When translating the SFM pages and implementing the {{otherlang2}}
template, I recommend setting the noborder=true option. The reasoning behind this is the < SFM span element sets the flag's (, , etc) out of alignment with the header's horizontal bar. Removing the otherlang2's border will create a nicer effect. --Mattshu (talk) 18:35, 21 Jul 2012
Ambient occlusion
As far as I can tell, none of the articles cover the ambient occlusion feature. I'm not sure if this should be put under Progressive Refinement, lighting, or what, but it should be in there somewhere. There has to be a way to adjust the sampling on it. --Thelonesoldier (talk) 20:35, 26 Jul 2012
I'll get on that. I may need some help refining the details, however. Check back later for a page dedicated to Ambient Occlusion --Rayss (talk) 14:00, 16 Aug 2012
I've created a page for Ambient Occlusion and have added some information. I plan to add a lot more, yet this is what I have at the moment. Link is https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SFM/Ambient_Occlusion. Feel free to make some edits or add your own content. --Rayss (talk) 14:10, 17 Aug 2012
a small suggestion
can anyone make a wikipage that shows how to remove hats helmets and backpacks?
removing hats and such is very easy since you only need to use another body,but pyro's backpack cant be removed by changing the body.
it would have been very nice if somebody could make a tutorial. --D95 (talk) 9:55, 26 Aug 2012
