A released example would be good for illustration. --TomEdwards 12:40, 19 Jan 2008 (PST)

All you need to do is look for it! :) --Etset 12:45, 19 Jan 2008 (PST)

Is there any inherent reason why the capturing has to proceed in a single direction? In other words, is it possible to set it up such that either of the two points adjacent to your team's captured points can be taken? --DaveFP 20:55, 1 Feb 2008 (PST)

Have you taken a look at the VMF file that is provided as reference? I haven't, but I believe that it should be possible to pull it off, with the proper entity work. In any case, I think that having that freedom of choice (not having to forcibly capture a specific point) would work in favor of a more rewarding game experience. --Etset 04:08, 2 Feb 2008 (PST)
The only reason I set this up to proceed in one direction is that I thought it would be more fun to make it kind of a race. There's nothing stopping you from changing the cp (link) setup. --Hovis 13:06, 11 May 2008 (PDT)

Anyone considered having a tinker with tc_hydro's four main points to turn it into a ccp map? It's pretty much already set up fully. Each cp has its own twinned spawn and it has a neutral colour scheme to it for all that matters. The only concern I have is abou the size of it, I understand that the game only actually renders the bits in use under normal play and this might affect thnigs if all four points are open at any time. Doing this sort of modding is well beyond me so I'm putting the idea forward here.--Mantafirefly 14:17, 24 Jul 2008 (PDT)

My brother mentioned it to me a little while ago, and I think it's a fine idea. I will probably try my hand at ccp_hydro as soon as I finish the two maps I'm currently collaborating on, I just don't have the free time or the brainpower to do all that. --Hovis 01:11, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Suggestion for merging creating CCP maps

I feel that it is unnecessary to have two pages, one dedicated to being about CCP maps, and the other about creating them. I feel they should be merged, with this article as an introduction and with Creating CCP maps following. Look at the other goal type tutorials; they do not require two articles to cover both a little bit about them and how to make them. --a2h 15:42, 24 Jul 2008 (PDT)

Your merge suggestion makes sense, but what makes better sense is to completely rewrite both documents as one. I'll do that when I have finished my current maps and have a firmer sense of what to write. --Hovis 01:12, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
