xsi sucks

get blender :)

That wasn't nice at all, especially considering SoftImage XSI is a marvelous application. --wisemx 13:58, 21 Dec 2005 (PST)
I don't want 3d application flame war in this wiki. Rather than claiming "We are better, they suck"(how infomative!) I want to see objective guides from each application to SMD. Then we can tackle still unknown .qc issues(making gestures, for example) together. By the way, XSI is really good once you learn its way. -n-neko 17:34, 21 Dec 2005 (PST)
Well said Neko san. --wisemx 04:13, 22 Dec 2005 (PST)

Would be nice to expand on this initial tutorial to include how to actually do some of the translations, like pressing X for scaling, pressing C for Rotation and V for movement. Zunni 13:40, 2 Oct 2006 (PDT)

Rewrite

I think it's time for this page to get a rewrite. There is a lot of good information on this page, and none of that is going anywhere, but considering how many people use XSI Mod Tool for Source modding, and how many of those people are encountering the subject of modeling for the first time, I think it's important to provide a good, solid tutorial. This first pass is just to outline the structure; none of the information has actually been touched. It's very much a WIP, so don't revert it out of hand. I'm going to be updating it shortly (hopefully tomorrow), I just ran out of time today. Yithian 16:01, 10 May 2008 (PDT)
