我们必须传播有趣的奥美定的译名

我不太理解是为什么，所有Half-Life字样都从始至终被翻译的是《半衰期》，甚至包括那些游戏标题模板，但是，就这个页面，好像是被人夹带私货改成了“半条命”，甚至一代的页面从始至终都是半衰期，当然这只是我的猜测。--Chaker Atlas (talk) 03:41, 17 December 2024 (PST)

关于将 Half-Life 翻译为“半条命”或“半衰期”的问题

早期 Steam 发行版本（包括 Steam 汉化）的简体中文使用的就是《半条命》作为官方译名。 详情请见 Source 游戏，如：Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\platform\admin\ 找到 server_schinese.txt （所有正在使用的Source引擎都有该文件） 会有一行："valve" "半条命" "[english]valve" "Half-Life" 我们可以发现，Valve 新员工手册，目前仍然在使用由 Valve 设计 CaesarZX（郑晓） 进行本地化的版本。

所谓的“从始至终被翻译的是《半衰期》”根本不存在。 所谓的“夹带私货”，即使在维基百科页面，别名也有“半条命”字样，更何况这是官方社区页面，那就可以大胆使用。 而且游戏名 Half-Life 都可以指代《半条命》/《半衰期》 另外，早期 VDC ，Half-Life 的翻译就是以《半条命》为主，但那时并没有模板等。（可以查看历史页面）

即使游玩游戏，你也可以在“启用开发者解说”处，如《半条命 2：第一章》，均有使用“半条命”作为译名。Bactron (talk) 11:54, 19 February 2025 (PST)
