Can't upload new images

I registered and confirmed my e-mail like 4 years ago and I uploaded some images back then, but now I can't. It doesn't look like anyone else can upload images either.

Can't update existing image

I'm trying to update File:Blender smd dmx flex.png. Every time I hit Submit I'm redirected to Special:Upload and the image is unchanged. --Artfunkel 06:05, 26 September 2013 (PDT)

I can't upload new images either. --Artfunkel 14:35, 26 September 2013 (PDT)
This should be fixed. --JeffLane 00:04, 3 October 2013 (PDT)

Image upload broken again

I'm getting this error:

The upload directory (public) is not writable by the webserver.

--Artfunkel 10:40, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

This should be fixed again. --JeffLane 19:08, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Autoconfirmed user permissions?

The email autoconfirmation seems to be broken, or broken in my case. Could I get added to the autoconfirmed users group so I can upload images? Thanks. Petethegoat (talk) 14:54, 21 February 2016 (UTC)

New wave of spam

Once again spammers have targeted this site. It's still going on as i write this. Is there anything that can be done about this? Based on what i'm seeing, anti-spam measures could be taken by checking for long page titles with large amounts of identical contents (e.g. one page had most lines start with "NORTON"). The link protection check is mostly useless since it only has a dozen or so questions that are easily matched. Could accounts perhaps be tied into Steam itself? Perhaps that will stop them, if Steam's own anti-spam measures can stop them. Solokiller (talk) 09:22, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

It seems another wave has "launched", currently totaling somewhere around 1450 edits and growing. Mainly preventing people from reading recent (actual, important) changes. Fayti1703 (talk) 22:20, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Still going on as of now. Solokiller (talk) 20:51, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
I wonder if we should start flagging them already or just wait until it ends and then do something about it... Only destructive thing I've seen so far is changing $emissiveblend, which I have reverted just now. Fayti1703 (talk) 12:46, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
