Hammer Configuration

I just installed Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools and tried to run Hammer but it just tells me that "gameinfo.exe" does not exist in the subdirectory of "vconfig.exe". I tried manually configuring it myself. When i finish and hit apply it just doesnt save anything and the same problem pops up.

Can anyone help me out with what to do to solve this annoying problem.

This question is probably asked every time this question is asked, but it must be answered: Did you run Left 4 Dead 2 before starting the Authoring tools? You could try building your own gameinfo.txt by The_GameInfo.txt_File_Structure checking this page out. —Mattshu 21:02, 18 January 2012 (PST)
