Steam Windows client — Oct 27, 2005 build

The information below originate in the linguistic and cosmetic QA performed on the localized French version of the Steam Windows client — Oct 27, 2005 build. Steam Backup Wizard

Bug 1.1.fr

  • Update all disk space related text labels (list below) with localization tokens and insert the text label and the correct text in steambackup\steambackup_<french>.txt .
  • in BackupSelectGamesPage.res: SpaceRequiredLabel
  • in BackupSelectDirectoryPage.res: SpaceRequiredLabel and SpaceAvailableLabel
  • Potential issues: check string clipping after the update

Bug 1.2.fr

  • Screen(s): Image:Steam FR backup 003.jpg and Image:Steam FR backup 007.jpg
  • Bug type: Layout - clipped string
  • Bug description: the buttons are too narrow to accomodate the strings
  • Incorrect text: n/a
  • Correct text: n/a
  • Fix: increase button width in the relevant Backup...res files under \cached\ , and, if necessary, move around the buttons in the dialog.
  • Potential issues: check string clipping after the update

  • Bug type: Translation - inconsistency and mistranslation
  • Bug description: backup should be consistently translated as sauvegarde and not as archive
  • Incorrect text: Nom de l'archive
  • Correct text: Nom du fichier de sauvegarde
  • Fix: update the translation of Steam_BackupFileName in BackupSelectOptionsPage.res
  • Potential issues: check string clipping after the update
