The Alien Swarm engine branch was released in 2010 with Alien Swarm and uses a modified Source engine between the Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2 iterations.<ref>Alien Swarm FAQ</ref>

Availability

Gamecode for this branch is included in the Alien Swarm SDK.
