For some configuration problems, it is necessary to re-copy the original files from the Source SDK Steam cache.
To refresh the Source SDK files:
- Open the Source SDK in Steam (hidden by default, enable tools in the library filters)
- In the Utilities section, choose Refresh SDK Content.
- After reading the warning, press Continue and wait for the SDK window to finish copying files.
The Source SDK files should now be refreshed and updated.
