Modular Combat was created and developed by Matthew Dryden and Andrew Watkins.
Through out the history of the mod several developers/players contributed and assisted Matt and Andrew making the mod better faster stronger.
Development continued up until December of 2010 when both Matt and Andrew became too busy with life to continue development.
Between January and August of 2011 the mod died but the servers still hung around. Of the top servers that were out there was Nachos and Cookies which really helped the mod take off.


Modular Combat was first released on June 17th, 2008.

Modular Combat is a role-playing first person shooter based in the Half-Life universe.

The Resistance, Combine, and Aperture Science are testing the HEV Mark VI Combat System. Combatants face off against each other, and monsters, in the Controlled Combat Testing Facility, which is monitored by a super-computer known as BoSS.

Modules are added to the HEV Mark VI suit enhancing the level of tactics that can be used during game play.

There are over 50 modules that can be upgraded at any level, in any combination. Modules give combatants amazing abilities such as flying, teleporting, spawning minions, and shooting flechettes or energy balls.


Basically, if you want to kill something in a special way...

We have a module for that.

Features

  • There are currently four game modes, Death Match, Team Death Match, Players vs Monsters, and Free for All
  • Many of the modules put a huge twist on game play, such as Cloak, The Mag Mine (gravity well), and Teleport
  • You have up to 6 suits that you can create and each are completely customizable.
  • There are several minions to choose from, Fast Zombies, Vortigaunts, Man Hacks, Antlions...
