I am in favor in removing background images from pages. It's pointless and only serves as distraction to reading the text. : I recently asked about backgrounds on the [[User_talk:SirYodaJedi#About Backgrounds|SirYodaJedi discussion page]]. I don't know if it's even worth doing anything about it yet, but I'm fine with both improving the backgrounds (black and white filter, for example) and removing them.
