This 'Steam Tool' appeared randomly, without notice, on Friday 28th July 2006. The use of the 'Steam Tool' is not yet known - however it may be the generic Application ID for Source Mods.
Currently the only map that came with the 'Steam Tool', is the Lost Coast stress test. This version of the stress test does not include HDR and it has multiple errors within the Church.
To use this program, you must have Half-Life 2 attached to your Steam account.
Source SDK Base is a set of content that uses the latest shipping version of the Source Engine. It contains the same video stress test that shipped in Lost Coast. MOD's based on the Source SDK Base will update periodically in lock-step with engine updates.
