I'm downloading the unstaged Vista build 5308 from Microsoft right now. Should be able to test HL2 by Friday. Yay! --AndrewNeo 19:14, 22 Mar 2006 (PST)
- So, what exactly do I have to do to get a test copy? The Steam forums topic is too lengthy for finding any relevant info.. Jupix 05:34, 25 Mar 2006 (PST)
- In order to get a legal copy of the beta you need to be a MSDN Subscriber. --Jurgen Knops 05:41, 25 Mar 2006 (PST)
- Do I understand correctly they're giving away free Vista subscriptions somewhere? Jupix 06:48, 25 Mar 2006 (PST)
- No, a MSDN Subscription is not for free. Don't know what the prices are, but I can tell you; it's not cheap. If you are a subscriber, you automatically get a change to test the beta of Vista for free (like a valid serial/download). --Jurgen Knops 06:58, 25 Mar 2006 (PST)
