The quotes around the key you select are not required all the time, but they are needed sometimes (like if you try to bind semicolon to something)
Quotation marks around strings are not always required, but should be used to ensure that special characters, such as spaces and semicolons, are not misinterpreted.

bind is a console command that lets you attatch a function to a key. The basic set up of using bind is below:

bind "key" function



Example: if you wanted to make the key H say in chat hi you would type in console:

bind "h" say "hi"
