Common traditional naming conventions for maps for some Half-Life and Source games use a small prefix (two or three letters) followed by an underscore then a map name.
Official prefixes are as follows:
Official Games
Counter-Strike (and all successors)
- de (Bomb defusal)
- cs (Hostage rescue)
- as (Assassination) Only for Counter-Strike
Condition Zero uses remade versions of the original Counter-Strike maps denoted with a _cz suffix.
