Note:There should always be a way to get past a barnacle without killing it, unless it is part of a puzzle. Most players will rarely get caught by barnacles, if at all; however, don't force the player to get caught!
Note:Some keyvalues, spawnflags, effect flags, inputs, or outputs might not affect an NPC, based on the functionality and coding of the NPC.

Entity Description
Stationary ceiling mounted 'fishing' monster. They were originally devised in Half-Life as a simple way to limit movement in levels, and their function remains relatively the same in Half-Life 2.
