Your missing the point. In episode One, the player hides behind a train cart that's on its side. Very good cover, except that the strider then fires at the npc_bullseye IN FRONT OF THE CAR, thus punting it a little ways toward you. If you remained sheltered there too long, the car would squish you against the wall. This encourages you to keep moving. Physics object and parts of the environment is what "other non-NPC's" refers to.

How can I have Strider use its warp cannon on all players on a multiplayer server with logic_timer and SetCannonTarget? -- Chilly Bean BAM! (talk) 01:30, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
:Hi there. First question I'd ask (since I don't know myself), does npc_strider work in HL2DM? (Like the basic functions, shooting etc) Pinsplash (talk) 03:27, 12 September 2018 (UTC) |

The intro currently states Striders will only attack NPCs; to make them attack parts of their environment/other non-NPCs, use npc_bullseyes.
