Machine Gunners are used as a strong defensive class. If they are deployed in the right spot they can be nearly impossible to take out. Some players enjoy going on the offense with the machine guns, although it is a lot harder to rambo in Day of Defeat: Source than it is in Day of Defeat 1.3.
